I’m continuing my summer adrenal cocktail kick with the next most requested flavor: watermelon! I feel like I should be on a beach with this one 🏖
The purpose of the adrenal cocktail is to provide support via important electrolytes sodium and potassium, which are much better absorbed together as well as whole food vitamin C. By giving your adrenals what they need to thrive, it helps your body respond properly to stress.
Watermelon Mint Adrenal Cocktail 🍹
This recipe makes 12 servings.
Ingredients:
-1/2 cubed watermelon, pureed
-8 limes, juiced
-.5oz mint leaves
-32oz coconut water
-2 tsp sea salt
-Plain sparkling water to mix
Instructions:
1. Cube watermelon and puree in blender. Pour into large glass container.
2. Add juiced limes, mint leaves, coconut water and sea salt and mix.
3. Mix about 4oz with 4oz sparkling water and enjoy.
I know I will get questions about substituting coconut water. This ingredient provides potassium, which is an important part of the adrenal cocktail. You could dilute this with water instead and add a little aloe vera juice (inner leaf) or potassium bicarbonate or chloride. I have not tested this, so I don’t know the portions.
