Raise your hand if you’ve done dozens of lab tests but still haven’t figured out why you don’t feel your best!
Don’t get me wrong, I love lab testing. The lab testing isn’t the problem. It’s typically that each lab is coming from a different company/practitioner and is looking at each system of the body separately, and that’s not how our bodies work. This can leave you feeling overwhelmed, taking 20+ supplements, and feeling helpless.
The biggest issue with doing a ton of testing and different protocols is that it doesn’t help you connect the dots and understand what’s going on in your body as a whole. Nothing happens in isolation in the body.
I’m actually writing this post because recently we’ve had an influx of clients that came to us with A LOT of labs they already got done, but zero concerns resolved. GI map stool test, DUTCH hormone test, HTMA, organic acids, mycotoxins, blood work, autoimmune testing, etc.
Again, nothing wrong with the testing, but I was shocked at how even with all of this information, they didn’t know what to do next. It’s easy to look at all of those tests and have it seem like there are a million different issues to tackle, but if you zoom out and look at the different systems of the body, you realize that nothing happens in isolation and many of these will be tackled together (swipe to read an example of this).
The most important thing that myself and my team do as practitioners is to keep labs in context to the person. You are not a lab value!
You are a person with a health, nutrition, and stress history that are essential for helping you connect the dots to how you got here, your main health concerns, and how you can start to make changes to support your health.
