Could Your Thyroid Problem Be an Adrenal Problem?

I’ve gotten a lot of requests when it comes to thyroid health and hormone imbalances, which isn’t surprising since I see this a lot with clients. Our thyroid has a huge impact on our sex hormones because of how it impacts ovulation. We need thyroid hormone in order to develop our follicles and ovulate.

Our thyroid and our adrenals are connected (so are our ovaries!). I’ve seen many clients have suboptimal thyroid levels that are contributing to fatigue, irregular cycles, heavy periods, and more. You can’t just look at the thyroid though.

If your body has been under chronic stress for a long time, you have to consider that your adrenal health could be contributing to your thyroid function.

Lesson of the Week

Period Poverty Is Real

The average woman spends 2,535 days of her life menstruating. 🔴⁣
Menstruation is a healthy part of having a uterus. ⁣
Regardless of our financial or social situation, we must purchase or otherwise obtain access to enough pads/tampons/menstrual cups/period panties to bleed for nearly seven years of our life. 🤯⁣
This is why it is INSANE that period products are taxed in 35 US states. ⁣
And that you can’t use food stamps or health spending allowances to purchase menstrual products. They are also not covered by health insurance OR Medicaid. ⁣
Despite being a necessity for half the population, they are still viewed as “luxury items” and taxed as such. ⁣

You can be apart of ending period poverty by signing this petition.
